Sept 4, 2016: ICYM Urwa Unit conducted an Inter-Ward Quiz Competition on September 4, 2016 at 10.30 am in the church premises. Mr Donald James D'Souza - a native of Bantwal, currently working as a Senior Lecturer at Sarosh Institute of Hotel Adminitration, Mangaluru - was the Quiz Master.
The event began with the registration of the teams which was carried out by Tanya Pais and Rochelle Misquith. The lots were picked up by the team leaders immediately after the registration. The event was presided by Fr Stany Pereira, Fr Nelson Pais and by Fr Johnson Sequeira. Neil DSouza, the MC for the event welcomed the gathering and then requested Fr Stany Pereira to conduct the prayer service. Claran Martis introduced the quiz master. Fr Stany Pereira motivated the parishners to lend their continuous support to the youth of the parish and wished all the participating teams’ good luck.
The quiz competition had 9 rounds in total of which one was written and the other 8 were orals including audio-visuals. There were 9 teams.

Neil Dsouza took charge of putting up the slides when Tanya Pais and Rochelle Misquith took charge of scoring the teams. The other ICYM members helped in the necessary arrangements. The event went on smoothly.The result eas announced by Fr Nelson Pais. The vote of thanks was delivered by Neil Dsouza and a memento was presented to the quiz master for his wonderful task. The event concluded with a hymn.
