On the occasion of Independence Day, for first time, ICYM Urwa unit hosted the Inter-Ward level Independence Cricket Trophy match for the parishioners of Urwa. Total of 15 teams were registered from different Wards. Cricket match began with the short inaugural programme. In the inaugural programme Fr. Benjamin Pinto, Parish Priest of Urwa church played the inaugural ball of Fr. Henry Sequeira, resident priest of Urwa church and inaugurated the match. At end the valedictory programme, the parish priest addressed the gathering and said, “I am amazed to see the enthusiasm and full participation of players and ward members”. Continuing, he thanked the gathering and organizers and the tournament ended with trophy distribution.
