The society of St Vincent De Paul was started on 16-12-1962 by 6 late eminent parishioners and was aggregated by the International Society on 29-12-1964 under the name of – Our Lady of Pompei - URWA Conference. To commemorate this occasion, a thanksgiving mass was celebrated by the members along with former members, well-wishers and donors on 22-12-2024 followed by a short programme at the basement hall.
The Parish priest Fr. Benjamin Pinto, SSVP Central council President Br Joe Coelho, central council Secretary Br Ligoury Fernandes, Central Council treasurer Br Clarence Machado, Area council President Sr. IDA Pereira, SSVP Urwa president Sr Lilly Lobo and Vice President Br Lloyd Lobo were on the Dias.
Br Wilson Dsouza read a brief History and the works undertaken by the conference. Former members were felicitated with a memento. Sr Sylvia Mascarenhas compeered the programme. The programmed ended with a high tea.
