On the night of December 31th, at 7.00pm, Rev Fr. Benjamin Pinto, Parish Priest of Urwa parish, celebrated the solemn New Year Mass. In his homily, he reflected on emphasizing the blessings from God and others brethren. The Mass was further enriched by the presence of Rev. Fr Lanson Maxim Pinto, Asst. Parish Priest of Urwa and Rev. Fr Henry Sequeira. At the end of the Mass, the parish priest, Rev. Fr Benjamin Pinto, expressed New Year wishes to everyone.

The church premises were beautifully adorned with decorations and lights. Soon after the eucharistic celebration a short programme was arranged by ICYM. A new parish telephone directory was inaugurated by Ladyhill Convent Superior Sr. Violet Tauro and PPC secretory Mrs Sylvia Mascarenhas. Followed by Rev Fr. Benjamin Pinto distributed the prizes to winners of different competitions organized by ICYM. As a new year celebration housie housie game was organised by PPC Urwa.
