Aug, 19, 2017: Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of our diocese gave his pastoral visit to our Church on Saturday, 19th August at 4p.m. He was warmly welcomed by the Parish Priest Rev Fr Stany Pereira, Ast PPs Fr Johnson Sequeira, Fr Nelson Pais, Mr Francis Saldanha, Mrs Lucy D’Souza and by the parishioners at the Church’s gate.
The welcome was followed by the ceremony of the pastoral visit conducted under the leadership of Parish Priest. Prayers were offered for Bishop as well as for the Universal Church.
Thereafter, the Bishop addressed the Confirmandi and taught them about the importance of the Sacrament of Confirmation in the journey of one's faith.The Bishop celebrated the Chrism Mass along with the parish clergy and confirmed 33 children of our church in their faith. The liturgy of the Mass was led by the Confirmandi.
After the Chrism Mass, Bishop addressed the members of various associations of the parish and asked them to render their selfless service for the betterment of the Parish. He also met the members of the Parish Pastoral Council and enunciated their role in the development of the parish.
