Apr. 14, 2017: Good Friday, which marks the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, was observed today with solemnity and religious ardour. Devotees took part in large number in the Way of the Cross held at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and at 12 p.m. The Good Friday Ceremony began at 6 p.m. During the ceremony, the passion was sung. Rev Fr Nelson Pais, ast parish priest who led the ceremony preached on how Jesus transformed the Cross into a sign of Victory. Prayers were recited for various needs. The cross was venerated followed by Holy Communion. Faithful gathered went home in silence reflecting the death of our Lord.
