Aug 2, 2016: It was indeed a joyous occasion for the parishioners of Urwa to celebrate the 49th birthday of our dear parish priest Rev Fr Stany Pereira on 2nd of August. The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Fr Stany Pereira and concelebrated by Bishop Pius Thomas D’Souza of Ajmeer diocese and assistant parish priests. Prayers were offered for the well being of the parish priest.
A short felicitation programme was organised by the Parish Pastoral Parishad after the Mass. Mr Hilary D’Souza, vice president, welcomed the gathering. Rev Fr Johnson L Sequeira, asst parish priest felicitated Fr Stany with wishing words. It was followed by cutting the birthday cake, melodious birthday song by choir members and felicitating with bouquets of flowers. Fr Stany Pereira thanked all the people who have made impact on his life and thanked the parishioners in particular for their whole hearted cooperation in the smooth running of the Church administration. Mrs Jenevive Mathias proposed vote of thanks while Rev Fr Nelson Pais compered the programme.

Birthday Celebration At Schools
St Aloysius English School, St Aloysius Higher Primary School and Pompei School also celebrated their Correspondent’s birthday during their respective school assemblies. Children wished their dear correspondent with wishing songs. Parents Teachers Association Members were also present.
