Aug. 1, 2016: Rev Fr Valerian Rodrigues, resident priest for the last 14 months here at Urwa Church retired on 31st July, 2016. On this occasion, he was felicitated and thanked on behalf of the community for his selfless service to the parishioners. A felicitation programme was organised after 7 am Mass on 31st July. Bishop Pius Thomas D’Souza of Ajmeer Diocese, Parish Priest Fr Stany Pereira, Assistant Parish Priests, Vice President and the Secretary of Parish Pastoral Parishad were present. Mr Hilary D’Souza thanked Fr Valerian through Maan Pathr.
Fr Valerian was felicitated by Bishop, Priests and Lay leaders. Parish Priest thanked Fr Valerian profusely for his effective ministry in the church. Fr Valerian in his response enunciated his feelings of gratitude to all. Fr Johnson L Sequeira compered the programme.
Fr Valerian Rodriguies moved to Vianney Home, Kankanady on August 1.
