Sep. 09, 2017: Monthi Festh popularly known as family feast was celebrated with joy and happiness on Sep 8 at Urwa Church. The celebration began with the procession wherein Mother Mary was honoured publicly. On reaching the Church, children offered flowers to Infant Mary.
Rev Fr Stany Pereira, parish priest celebrated the festal mass along with Fr Pradeep Sequeira SJ and asst parish priests. In his homily, Parish Priest highlighted the significance of the life of Mother Mary and also reminded our role towards the protection of Mother Earth. New corn was blessed by Fr Pradeep Sequeira SJ and distribute it to all the ward leaders and representatives. Sugar canes were distributed to all gathered. Parishioners participated in large numbers in the liturgical celebration.
