Feb 20, 2017: The members of the Vailankanni Ward celebrated their ward day in honour of their Patron on the 19th of February. In the morning, the members took active part in the liturgy thanking the Lord for His Benevolence through the intercession of Mother Mary.
The cultural programme of the ward day began in the evening at 6:30 in the Basement hall. Parish Clergy, vice president and secretary of PPC, ward leaders of various wards, invited guests and the members of the ward were present. Anitha D’Souza and group invoked God’s Blessing through the prayer service. Capt Vincent Pais welcomed the gathering while Janet Pais read the annual report of the activities of the ward. Several cultural items and games were held as part of the celebration. Parish Priest Rev Fr Stany Pereira congratulated all the ward members for working in unison towards the success of the programme. Ward Leader Irene D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks while Hycintha Saldanha compeered the programme. The programme concluded with the sumptuous meal prepared by the ward members.
