Mar. 29, 2018: The first day of Easter Triduum began today with the celebration of Maundy Thursday, a day commemorating the Institution of Eucharist and Priesthood and a call to serve humanity at the last supper. The meaningful liturgy began at 6 p.m. led by Rev. Fr Nelson Pais. In his homily he briefed the significance of Eucharist in our life and also the intimate bond between the Eucharist and a priest. He also exhorted the gathered community to dedicate their life in the service of others. Rev. Fr Stany Pereira, parish priest washed the feet of the twelve chosen ones of the parish community. The extraordinary ministers of the Holy Eucharist also renewed their oath in the presence of the parish priest. After the Holy Communion, a procession to the Altar of Repose was held followed by adoration conducted by the Parish Priest. The parish community gathered in large numbers for the day’s celebration.
