Jul 17, 2017: The members of the Carmel ward celebrated their ward's patron's feast on July 16th. The celebration began with the Eucharistic celebration led by the ward members. Soon after the Mass, members gathered in the basement hall for a get together. Rev Fr Stany Pereira, Fr Johnson Sequeira, Fr Nelson Pais, Mr Francis Saldanha, vice president and Mrs Lucy d'Souza, Secretary were present. The occasion was also graced by the presence of all other ward leaders.
Programme began with the prayer service led by Mrs Flavia Baptist. Ward leader Mrs Sunitha D'Souza welcomed the gathering. The meritorous children of the ward were felicitated by the Parish Priest. On this occasion, Mr Hilary D'Souza, former ward leader was felicitated for the services he rendered in the parish pastoral council in various capacities for the last 15 years. At the same time, Mrs Juliana Tellis and Mrs Lilly Lobo were also congratulated for their selfless service. Rev Fr Stany Pereira congratulated the ward members for their service in the Church activities. Secretary of the ward Mrs Mercine Saldanha thanked all while Mrs Jenevive Mathias compered the entire programme. The get together came to an end with the breakfast.
