The feast of Assumption of Mother Mary and 77th Independence Day (celebrating 76 years of freedom) was celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, Urwa. At the beginning of the mass, the new statue of Immaculate Conception of Mother Mary was blessed. The main celebrant of the festal mass was Rev. Fr Antony Shera and chief guest of the day hoisted the flag and gave his message to the gathering. Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, Parish Priest and Correspondent of the school, Asst. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Johnson Pereira, Mr. Lloyd Lobo, vice President of PPC and Mr Kevin Martis, coordinator of 21 commission were also present.
Students and teachers of all three schools and Parishioners paid respect to the Nation. There was a cultural Programme from the school children. Sweets were distributed at the end.
