We began the Holy week with Palm Sunday with piety and reverence befitting the passion of the Lord. At first the palms were blessed at St Aloysius Eng Med School ground in the presence of the faithful. Then the procession to the church began led by the celebrants with the congregation holding the blessed palms aloft devoutly in memory of Jesus, our Lord, entering the city of Jerusalem before His passion. Once the procession entered the church the Holy Mass was celebrated during which the Passion of the Lord was read and reflected upon calling to mind the agony, suffering and death of the Lord.
Rev. Fr. Rohan Lobo, Asst Director of the Pastoral Centre was the main celebrant and Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira, Parish Priest, Fr Amith Rodrigues and Fr Valerian Rodrigues were the con - celebrants. Fr Amith Rodrigues preached the sermon highlighting the sufferings of Christ. Liturgy was conducted by the members of different wards.
Through this ceremony Holy week started.
